Machine Nature

It has nothing to do with search engines etc. but it’s a great book that will take your mind on a theoretic field trip, guarantied.
[Moshe Sipper] |
Parallel Programming

|
The second edition covers areas of cluster computing which I have found really useful when creating parts of the system. This book is for graduate-level parallel programming courses, so if you’re on such a track, read this.

Modern Information Retrieval

|
To begin with I was a little disappointed but after some chapters this book really has a lot to give. There are technical areas where it sometime get a little basic, but adjacent to this it’s has great theoretic depth on many areas that has been very constructive for the project. I must admit, it has helped me a lot, and I am still using it as a quick lookup from time to time.

Information Retrieval - Algorithms & Heuristics

|
I’ve come to almost worship this book on a strange ambivalence level. It’s one of those rare books where the authors explain how the math behind search eventually works without talking to you as if you were incapable of ordinary reasoning. Sometimes it will take you back to the roots - not a bad think after all when thinking search as I do - If you can manage to memories and use the knowledge this book represents you will get a solid foundation to move your ideas forward.
